Dialogue As Meditation
Following the guidelines of Bohm Dialogue, we can set up small online dialogues that would act as a medium for intersubjective meditations, and a stream of consciousness-like exploration of our beliefs, and mental habits.
We may start at any juncture (now is a good time as any...) and depart from the dialogue at any time, and restart it at any time.
Our intention here is not to thrash out or fix our patterns, that would be in the counseling board, but to be here together, now as much as we can, to just see what emerges. And what can emerge, as a collective.

The purpose of any real, deep, factual inquiry into religions/religious movements (including the various new age movements) cultural doctrines beliefs (other than the ones promulgated by relgions and cultural doctrines) is not motivated by a weary cynicism, nor by a suicidal nihilism, but rather by an inspired desire to know the truth. It has been said to be able to set us free, after all. What are the real causes of war and poverty? Which of the paths that claim to be the only and absolute ultimate truth is correct? If any? What about sex? Well, what about it? Is there anything right, wrong, neutral about it? Which sex? Any kind of sex? Why are some kinds of sex always taboo? What is the nature of evil, anyway? Is there ever such a thing as unconditional love? What do we really want? |
