Taking Q&R Further

Hi Matthew:
I know that people have been posting in their suggestions on what questions to be asked for the Q&R and the “contributed by” is also suggested already, but I would like to take this suggestions further for consideration/implementation.

Have a page where people can submit a question that they would like to appear in the Q&R, not in a pod as has been done here but another page where the questions will be seen on the screen once it is submitted.  But the name of the contributor is not shown and there should be a button “flag as inappropriate”.  Then have an option where people can click to vote for their favorite questions.  These questions will be listed from the highest votes received to the lowest.  The one with the highest vote will be the one that will come out next for the Q&R along with the “contributed by”.  This will create more diversity, excitement and element of surprise for Q&R.  This will make people more active in surfing and logging back in to Gaia.  It also creates more chances of participation by Gaia members and appreciation by peers.

I agree that that's a great idea, Samme!  But it's very likely not something our developers can feasibly implement in the near future, though I definitely see the value in it.

that is a pity! With all due respect to Siona for her hard work, I think the Q and R needs much more input to make it a truly valuable tool for community building.

Well, we do have some revisions in the works for the Q&R.  It just won't be as snazzy as the suggestions that samme gave above.  But do let us know what you think when you see the changes.  Your input is much appreciated!
