I basically want to see the use of psychic counselling regulated,somehow.

In the Seventies, I was very lucky to have been able to get a reading by the late Dutchman,

PETER HURKOS. It cost me $200,but he told me non-obvious things that a fake could

not have....encompassing clairvoyance and the "like attracts like" principles of Harold

Sherman....which I was not aware of at the time.....and he was registered with the

Better Business Bureau! Though my life story's not finished yet,several HURKOS pre-

dictions came to pass....mentioning things that only I knew about.....and some of them

occurred in an unusual way.....with a lot of synchronicity involved!

I side with HOUDINI....Today's "psychics" are largely fakes...operating out of a storefront

window....Or,bilking the rich and famous...for example,telling an actresss that "she'll find

love on a movie set" or a ditch digger that "he'll find love in a ditch". When a client is told

something that's too obvious,or merely what they want to hear (rather than the truth),that

should be outlawed. If they were licensed/bonded like HURKOS,then that would be a

brake against fakery. Desparate (or gullible) people are easy targets for fake psychics!

There has to be a balance so that legitimate seers can practice,but screen out fakes.

The world has made some progress...so, I don't see society going as far back as the "burn-

witches" phase. And, I am anti-psychiatry.....that's a pseudo-science that also ought to be

outlawed. Suppressing natural human psi is wrong as well. I am quite sure that most

human beings have innate psi ability,but it's discouraged by society. Except when it's

a clever "hunch" leading to a successful business....but,that's just a small use of psi!

Due to the existance of free will---I am not religious and belong to no church----the future can

be changed. With a complex situation,that requires special knowledge.

People in problematical situations want answers. It's important that they get the

right answers! And sometimes,that must be had by means of so-called "miracles".

Or what seems to be a miracle,to the layman.

This is a difficult issue,because the acceptance of psi by society,will mean challenging---

and changing--such paradigms/power structures as religion,politics,psychiatry,etc.

But the karma of change can't be held back...We need more people like PETER HURKOS.

I don't claim to be a psychic, but I've had psychic experiences on very special occasions. On one occasion, I was day sailing off the coast of Palm Beach, Florida with a friend. I heard cries of distress and sailed straight to three scuba divers who got caught in a current. They were miles from their dive boat.

On another occasion, I was returning from Nassau in the Bahamas to Palm Beach, Florida with three sailing friends on my sailboat, Bold Venture. We ran into a violent storm in the 50 mile stretch of ocean that separates the Bahamas Banks from Florida.

We had been sailing 20 degrees south of our true course to allow for the Gulf Stream's current to the north. When the the storm hit, I was forced to head northward, and more to the north as the storm moved through. Eight hours later, as we rolled over a 30 foot sea, I spotted smokestacks to our west. The storm had moved east of us.

I headed for the smokstacks, which were those of Florida Power and Light, a mile south of our inlet. We arrived at my estimated time of arrival. It was impossible.

Seas were breaking completely across Lake Worth Inlet. Something told me to go for it. With seas breaking on both sides of us, the sea behind peaked. We slid down it into the inlet. It never broke. My friends called it a miracle.

We were in the Bermuda triangle where hundreds of vessels and aircraft have mysteriously disappeared. Some think its a time warp they get caught in. It appears that a time warp put us where we should have been had there been no storm, and something strange brought us safely through breaking seas into our inlet.

It is hard to think that God didn't have his hand on my wheel. A Christian woman told me God never speaks to psychics. Several years after my wierd sea experience, I was in Portland, Oregon's Greenwood Inn singles bar dancing with this and that female. I enjoy dancing. I asked Karen, my future wife, for a dance. The moment our hands touched I felt her warmth. it was like meeting an old friend I'd not seen for a long time. We sat and chatted for hours.

Years later, Karen had a friend make an astrological compatibility printout on us. I read in the report this: "The platonic thing was there from the strart, and there is a sense of the brotherly and sisterly between you. Even if lovers, you will always be first and foremost good friends."

On our first date, a hike on the trail to Multnomah Falls, we were sitting on a log chatting. Karen blurted out that she wanted our relationship to be platonic. At that moment, I noticed the sky in the northwest was growing black. We hurried back to the car and heard on the radio that Mt. St. Helens had erupted not 50 miles from us. Later, I asked Karen why she said she wanted our's to be a platonic relationship. She didn't know. It just popped out. It is hard for me to think Karen was not sent to me. She is my fourth wife.

My life is loaded with strange coincidences. We are more than we give ourselves credit for being.

I have had many call me to ask when their father, mom or so and so is going to die. My response is their death is in their hands. Their thoughts create their reality... transformation is a death process as well. They feel better and it is honest response. I now wonder if it is. I ponder the question about prayer healing circles... If it is time for the person to leave this worldly realm, are we being selfish to pray for them to stay?

I have had many dreams predicting my own death... the first time, the dream repeated for six months of my being in a car accident. I saw me dying from it. One year later, I flipped my car and the cop said, You should be dead. You must be connected to still be here. I simply looked to the Heavens and said yes I am. Thinking... was this the accident or a forewarning?
Eighteen months later, ... I was in a head on collision with a drunk driver. Both of us going about 55 miles a hour, hitting driver side to driver side....both from Arizona (this happened in Oregon), both driving Toyotas and both of us had changed our routes mid travel. A fate to meet... I say Yes!
Again, I went to black and then returned. Not wanting to... I just wanted to sleep, yet here I was sitting in a Toyota Highlander with the headlight about a foot away from me still breathing. Most want to say... you aren't done. Well, while I was laying in the ER waiting for the doctor (though I only bruises and a bump on the head), I asked the Universe... Okay, why am I still here? I am suppose to be dead. My guides said.... yes, you are but his Love kept you here. Oh, God's love...I replied. Well, yes and no... Yes, God loves you, though it was another person's strong love that kept you here. He didn't want you just in the spiritual plane. He wanted you in the physical plane as well...
Okay... I have heard of praying circle asking for miracles... I know they work and the energies are healing and loving intention. My question is... Is it right for another person to keep someone on this earthly plane when it was time to go? Any thoughts on that?

A very ineresting question. As a psycihc i have been in this position and i have a few views on it. Firstly it is not my responsibility to play with someone else's journey, it is their's and their's alone. In my opinion they have already made the choice anyway eiethr pre birth or it has been unfolding.

If i saw this for a client who had someone close to death i may wrap it up in some kind of subliminal message, where they would know after the event what I was trying to tell them.

Personally I knew a cousin was dying the evening i went to see him in the hospital, he was thankfully in a room on his own and I closed the curtains. As his breathing became laboured I could see he was begining to make the shift i spoke to him about where he was going and the joy he might expect. I also told him it was alright to let go and to take the journey home. Not long after he passed away. It was a privillage for me to have been in that position and I thank him for allowing me to do so.

The very first thing we must think about is a responsibility to the persons emotions and a respect for where they are. I also feel that we must be guided by our own true consciousness as it will provide us with the correct answer if we simply just tune into our inner voice.

Hi everyone, I have just joined and am looking forward to the discussions. To reply to the thread, you know I believe that we have a responsibility to ourselves and others especially in an emotional area. Is it really our place to take it upon oursleves to convay when we think someone elses time of death is?? Surely they have already made that decision and perhaps depending on their beliefs, pre birth, or maybe is it evolving for a particular reason? however you look at it it is their choice not ours and ethically I feel we need to respect that. I have been in a position as a reader where i have seen the passing of a loved one for my client, if i have to deliver any message it is always well wrapped up so that they don't leave feeling awful or not knowing what to do. They will realise when things settle and they are in a better place. I have also been priviliged to be with my cousin when he passed and was able to talk him through the next stage and to tell him it was alright to let go there was nothing to fear. For that I truly thank him it was an amazing gift. But who am I? we all need to make the right decision for ourselves at the appropriate time and if we listen to the inner voice we will be guided to what the best course of action is then. Hi, Jen:

You do a little remote viewing (RV)?

A good buddy of Jeff Mishlove's introduced me to it. Don't know much about David Morehouse other than I ran into his training materials at The Bodhi Tree in Los Angeles. But I do know something, first hand, about many good people who are interested in RV.

There are thousands of us around now, maybe even hundreds of thousands if one counts the people who have a nodding acquaintance with it. There are also Pods and practioners who work with it for at least a portion of their overall interests.

I've known about RV for 25 years, and was introduced to it by the work of Stephan Schwartz (the buddy of Jeff Mishlove's) and another teacher of mine, Rosalyn Bruyere. I'd recommend Stephan's techniques and work absolutely without hesitation. Look at his book, Opening to the Infinite at that site, but any of his books are spectacular. He also has training materials on RV, which although I haven't used his yet, I'd bet my biscuits they're among the best to be found anywhere.

For anyone really interested in RV, you could also consider joining the International Remote Viewing Association, IRVA. We have an annual conference and an e-mail messaging list.

Whatever groups or people you hook up with, I'd suggest one caveat; research them carefully, because you'll find flakes mixed in with the best in their field. Including IRVA. And it doesn't serve anyone to have a bad rep to work against when there's so much good to come of something that could come naturally to everyone.

As far as regulating PSI is concerned in my opinion that's an impossibility. It should be up to the individual to use a reliable "reader" found either through referrals or reputation. And as far as cost goes, if you're someone who doesn't want to spend large amounts of money there are many Psi individuals who still have good rates or might even do trade out, some will simply take donations.

Bottom line; each person needs to use their brain or their own intuition, take responsibility for the choices they make, re: this issue or any other. Do the research. And that goes for all professional service, Psychics, doctors, dentists.... you get the drift!

You know, Ronald, I like the spirit behind your post. Your a thoughtful guy with some life under his belt. I also absolutely agree that many intuitives today are misguided. But there are many, many good ones, too. And for my money, you'll find some on Jeff Mishlove's pod. By the looks of it, three of the people in this discussion do have their heads screwed-on exactly right.

I met Stephany Hurkos for the first time this weekend past. And, although she's not Peter, I liked her because seemed genuine. There must have been something he saw in her, because a man's relationships with his people hardly get closer than his wife. But, attitudes and approaches change over time, of course. People get born, have lives and move on. But their legacy's remain in their work and children.

And, at the same time, I truly doubt there could be, in the near future, any remotely-workable sort of regulatory body for intuitives. That's my value judgement based on half-a-life's experience with well-intentioned regulation. That a group of bureaucrats, like county clerks, or or government personnel officers, would have the experience and sense to know how to govern an intuitive's practice, is absolutely beyond my considerable imagination. Sense doesn't exist in a world such as theirs. Only an interest in following whatever rules were given them without question. I wouldn't even trust someone with the good intentions of an elementary school teacher with regulating intuitive abilities.

And I'm one of many thousands who would vote that way. So I would suggest an approach more like what Stacey suggests. Because at this point in time, psi is anything but scientific in a sense like Western medicine or law. And developing a set of rules for such a thing will take centuries.

Bryan ~ I have just seen your post today for the first time. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I have, in fact, written several books (having published one thus far) and I do work with children (including homeschooling my five) and only wish to continue down that line.

PSI Abilities & Extraterrestrial DNA... is it in you?

My question to the group is primarily focused on those of you out there who may have had experiences/encounters with Extraterrestrials. I'm not necessarily talking about "Grays", (though they have relevance to some) but humanoid beings who look very much like us.

These encounters have a great connection to many of us that exhibit extraordinary natural abilities in all areas of PSI.

My mother's visitations lead to my own, starting before the age of 5. Let me state that this was by no means an abduction scenario, as is regularly shown in TV & movies. These were visits by a male being that at times resembled telepathic "downloading" sessions. There was also information given to us later that suggested genetic alterations done to the fetus while within the womb to enhance abilities and levels of inter-dimensional communication.

Dr. Richard Boylan is currently investigating the link between Psi ability and "star seed" as he likes to call them. The findings are intriguing and he has a great website.

I personally have not encountered anyone with a similar experience to mine though I've been told there are many others out there.

Does anyone in this pod have any info. or experiences on this subject to share or discuss?

I think it's totally appropriate. It's kind of the same as someone overhearing someone planning on committing a crime. That person who overhears it has a responsiblity and a duty for reporting it.

I think if someone is capable of preventing crime, they should. I know the use of Psi may be a laughable subject, especially in a field like criminology, and I don't think any of the findings done by a psychic or anything is viable in court, but at least it will point the cops in the right direction.

It's kinda like what ben parker said to peter, "with great power comes great responsibility." I know if I were psychic, I would tell the authorities if I saw something that could prevent a crime from happening, or bring a criminal to justice.

Absolutly! If I had a child missing I would want every possible outlet to help. However I would not want everybody and ther mama coming out with 20 diffrent directions.

I had an instance, belive it or not during the superbowl 2 years ago. Bruce was gone to a party and I had decided to go and get chineese food for me and the kids. My daughter takes down a missing poster and brings it home. I found it on the table and went to go question my daughter. When I touched the picture I got all these images in my head about the murder. I have been intuitive but never at this level. There were alot of details, I told somwone who ended up telling the police and I was completly embarassed. Any insights I have ever had were only about my family and such. I spoke with a detective and said " i am sorry, this does not happen." I think after he could tell I was not a crzy person he asked me what I saw, I gave him details, and he gave me his number. He said he must get 20 calls a day from "so called psychhics" he does not discount them, but alot of the information is bogus and a waste of time.

Part of me wishes I would have kept my mouth shut, I wnated to crawl under a rock. This was a personal visoin. that got out...but the mom in me was screaming..."What if it were your daughter?" details were correct sucha as the car and such but she was never found..and her parents are still searching which breaks my heart.

So.. I suppose I have been on both ends. But from a law enforcement stance I would use someone who has "been in the business" and who ethically moral, and in it for the other person and not themselves.

Thanks, Bryan, for this thread. Didn't notice it until Angela and AlphaGal posted to it (thanks to you two, as well). But I'm inclined to listen to the podcasts. I'm a noob IRVA member and always find reputable information interesting.

For the record, it's always appropriate to use intuitives. Minority Report was a great movie, but what I remember from it is that it's questionable to sequester intuitives like factory-farmed chickens, rather a problem with the use of psi.

With your apparent skills, you already know the bad guys don't sit around deciding what they're not gonna use.

I may not have any real images of extraterrestrials, but I believe I have made verbal/psychic contact with them. these particular ones identified themselves as originating from "Saturn"... These meetings with them were challenging, as they seemed war-like, and they did not like most human beings. They had me meet with their Pharoah, his name was the Pharaoh of the Unknown, and he was different, much more compassionate and intelligent than the "worker" aliens, and he had me play celestial games with him and talk wisdom/experiences. I have had also contact with the so-called "Arcturians", whom did not identify themselves as such, but through research I came accross some astral travellers who explained the Arcuturians were the ones responsible for sending 5th-Dimensional information to Earth, the 5th Dimension was one of the lessons I did receive from these good messangers. I'm not sure if there is a solid connection between these "Saturnians' and "Arcturians" (similar name?) but the meetings with the Saturnians were very violent and alarming competitions which obscured the truth; in other words, I did not know what to believe, if they were good, evil, neutral, or simply proding me for answers. I believe this communication was happening in the Astral Plane/Dimension, and not the Physical Dimension, because again, I had no visual picture of them, only sparks of light and audible discussions... Except for one time when I projected a moving image of me fighting the aliens on my bedroom wall, which was very visible and functioned similar to a movie projector against a flat surface. They had me fight them, in formal and informal ways, and this disturbed me, for I only wanted peace and love. Again, this was probably taking place in the Astral Dimension, so these "aliens" probably did not need to physically be near Earth. I made me concessions to appease them and tried even to make a written agreement with them, but eventually these encouters stopped, primarily because I have taken action to reinforce my natural barrier between the physical dimension and the astral dimension, giving me more control to communicate or not with the astral plane... I am not sure if this really helps, but it wasn't the most enlightened or pure experience I've had hahaha! Strictly a strange encounter with aliens in the astral plane (a very dreamy and illusory one at that) that I have filed away in my own personal X-Files....
