It is possible that the concept of 'enlightenment' does not appeal to the masses because of the way that it is presented by many who are on the path. I believe that 'regular people' have trouble filtering through all of the doubletalk and flighty ideals perpetuated by psuedo-intellectuals who are operating out of ego alone. I would like to create a new community of individuals who are able to find enlightenment in the joys of everyday life. People who love all types of music and sports and sex and food. We don't all need to be vegans, and keep our wardrobe cruelty free. We should seek to have reverence for the ancient ways of many of our ancestors who realized their animal roots and found joy in community, love, and participation. Let's talk about enlightenment for real people, professionals, working people. Let's allow ourselves to have animal pleasures, feel anger, feel jealousy, feel joy and comfort and all the rich elements that make a life worth living.
