  Mikey_Dee : COOLture vulture

George the Giraffe-is he or isn't she?

Mikey_Dee said Jul 2, 8:28 AM:

George the Giraffe
George,  the Giraffe likes to Giggle & laugh,
And has even been known to Guffah,
For he has a secret, which nobody knows,
Which keeps a wide Grin near his jaw.
He has a long neck, which you'd tend to suspect,
As does his pretty young sister,
the Girls love to flirt with him and as for her,
the boy giraffes cannot resist her.
The Story begins with the coming of twins,
Who, at birth were laid down in a cradel,
Their mother, she named them George & Georgette,
And told them apart with a lable.
And yes! you have guessed it, the part that comes next,
'twas all the Giraffe sitters fault,
And while she was giving the babies a bath, her
newly found boyfriend, he called,
And while the young lovers just chattered away,
proclaiming their love on the phone,
The babies who splashed and played aquatic Games,
realised that they'd been left alone.
With necks long and nimble, they simply reached down,
& nudged with the ends of their noses,
the lables that once had been tied to their feet,
one blue, one the colour of roses.
So, when our young lover hung up with a sigh,
And dreamily went to the basin,
Her eyes opened wide, when she realised,
the lables were not where she'd placed them.
And the lesson to learn, if a lesson there be,
has been learned by that famous young lover,
For now when she meets one she always makes sure
not to judge a giraffe by it's cover.
To shorten my story it now will suffice, to say that two babies still wet,  got confused due to folly of teenage romance Which explains why young George is Georgette.
