It's an emotion and emotions can become destructive. That's the nature of emotions. But when you marry a friend, who becomes your lover, somehow it seems more stable. I've had many lovers in my life who walked into and out of me, gone forever. But a friend? I have said some things to friends and after a while it was forgotten, and we were friends again. Some words, when said to a lover, are never forgotten or forgiven.
So I say Long Live Friendship in Love and Love in Friendship. Your poem was so tender and I feel that it was glued together with friendship. May its bonds remain strong. |
