I rarely use profanity, but in this case let the emotions roll from and through my soul to document the concerns, the cares, the humanity.

This poem goes deeper than just my dear friend, as well.

to capture a snapshot of existence

are

in itself an arduous task for

the

mind gets entangled in a

thread

of man made constrictions

that

crush the larynx of hope while ripping open

stitches

of division that keep US from coming

together

but eventually

the

solution to this dilemma can be found in

fabric

cut from original cloth patterns

self if we choose to read between the lines of

life.

Horizons

Horizons

Just above the Eastern horizon
A courtship of the stars,
Unclothed in all their beauty
Embers floating past.

On the moon there is a gathering
Of gentlemen and dames.
Champagne and gourmet meals abound
While guests exchange their names.

Gas giants and icy rings
Of Saturn sitting there,
Celebrating Christmas
The winter months so bare.

The pigment found on Venus
As lovers hold their gaze.
Calling to the planets
To guide them through their days.

Apollo seems so distant
Atlantis but a dream
And things we take for granted
Are not quite as they seem.

A melody which vibrates
Each orbit so precise
The dinner date is fading
Earth’s atmosphere sounds nice.

Now we are re-entering
Hot metal shooting flames,
The desert is approaching
Like in an arcade game.

Standing here on Terra now
And looking out to space.
Thinking of the meal we shared
Moonlight on my face.

Heaven help! I can’t stop pondering.
The Universe is but a thought,
While the everlasting moment
Is the prize I really sought.

Walking The Jesus Road
Talking to Jesus
Along The Way
Keeps me up when I fall
And Repent
Knowing He's always with me
So I know I'm never alone

This Is The Road
That is as smooth
As I allow Him to make It
And as long As I want
It
I want it as long as I walk It

No pebbles or dirt
On The Jesus Road
Only His White Light
Bathing the shame clean
From my cul de sac past
That In Truth was a dead
End
Or the the path never lit
Never with friends
Who Are Manifest
In Ever Step
Along The Jesus Road
His Visage Seen In Every Person I never pass
But Meet
And The Dove
Above.
