What does "Set status" mean in the Activity Privacy list?

Hi loneturtle,

I think the word "set" is a bit confusing there, as it actually pertains to every other item in the list too, you are "setting" each one. It should just say Status, to be parallel to the other items in that list.

Status is the thing following the word "is" at the top of a profile, where people tell about their current thoughts, activities, or state, or say something they want others to see or know. By clicking on the current one, or on that space, you get a tiny horizontal textbox to write things in.

I don't know how you tried to find out about what it means, but a "search this group" for the term "status feature" will get you to the original How To's that were posted on that feature when it first arrived. (I just tried it.) (Status might have worked too, but a lot more search results to plow through which I didn't do.)
