I wanted to say I'm sorry for not being on in a while, the internet at my mom's house was down but I'm back. I wanted to say Welcome to all the new members and thank you for joining.

WHOSE JOB IS IT?

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I love it. And yeah, I've been every one of those before myself. But every day, I get closer to assuming that if it needs doing, then I need to do it.

A lot of things make me happy.......like the one play that I make to get us out of a tough inning, any play that looks hard (sometimes it is hard) that I make, when I am babysitting my twins and I teach them something that is useful, when I bake something with my twins, When the Yanks win a World Series, When I actually write a good report for school, when I actually get a good grade in school, when I make something and give it to my friends, when I help an elderly person do something....and the list goes on and on......... ~yank fan~

Lion and long-lost friend - amazing!

Just had to pass this one on:

Several years ago this woman found a sick, malnourished

lion cub in the jungle. She took the cub home and fed him

and brought him up until he was too big to keep anymore.

Then she made arrangements with a zoo in Colombia, South

America, to take the lion.

Here's a video of what happened when she went to visit

him in the zoo for the first time.

At first when you said this was what happened when she went to see him, I thought is was going to be bad and the zoo had done something. But this was just amazing. Thank you so much!
Her kindness went a long way and I'm sure that she now smiles about it all the time. She should be very happy :)

As the title says are you happy at where your at? If your not and you could choose to go back into time or the future what would it be? Why would go stay/ go back/ go into the future?

I would love to be able to go back when Jackie Robinson made his MLB debut for the Dodgers. I would love to see how he acted towards the people who threatened him daily. Plus I would be in Brooklyn, New York and be able to go see the Yankees play also =)

THE WAY TO HAPPINESS FOUNDATION OF INDIA AWARDED

The Mayor of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation expressed his support for the work of The Way to Happiness Foundation of India with a special plaque thanking L. Ron Hubbard, the author of the book, for his contribution to Indian society.

Accompanying the plaque was a brass elephant, which symbolizes those things that are precious and revered in the Indian culture.

In the ancient mythology of India the Gods (Deva) and the demons (Asura) churned up the milky oceans looking for the elixir of life that would make them immortal. What appeared were the nine “navratnas” or jewels, one of which was the elephant. In later years, according to Buddhist tradition, when the Buddha-to-be decided to be born for the final time on Earth, he appeared to his mother in a dream, taking the form of a white elephant.

The Mayor’s presentation of this statue to The Way to Happiness Foundation was an expression of the importance of this booklet to the people of his city.

The Way To Happiness is a moral code based wholly on common sense. First published in 1981, its purpose is to arrest the current moral decline in society and restore integrity and trust to Man.

THE WAY TO HAPPINESS - MIDDLE EAST PEACE CAMPAIGN

Over 2.5 million The Way to Happiness booklets have been distributed in Israel and in the Occupied Territories!

Although this is really good news, the order of magnitude is still ungraspable. So let us give you a few demonstrations!

These, for instance, are a couple of pallets of Hebrew booklets, each pallet contains about 15,000 booklets and weighs about 600 Kg.

Same for the Arabic booklets.

So far we printed booklets out of paper that is 1 meter wide and at least 5,400 Km in length.

This means the length of paper we have consumed in printing The Way to Happinessbooks for the Middle East Campaign is half the diameter of Earth! (Earth diameter : 12,756 Km)

Therefore, if we dug a 5,400 Km deep hole in the ground and unrolled the length of paper used we would reach the core of Earth!

Here is another comparison. The length of one booklet is 18.7 cm.

So, if we take one booklet from this pile and another and another and arranged all of the 2.5 million The Way to Happiness books that we have distributed in a continuous line, it would be a line 477 km long, which is almost the entire length of Israel, from Metula, near the Lebanese border, all the way to Eilat in the south!

The length of Israel, driving from Metula to Eilat is 477 km, and since we distributed 2.5 million booklets we have definitely covered Israel with The Way to Happiness.

Why is The Way to Happiness an effective tool for peace?
