Welcome to Gaia Community!

If you're on this page, you're probably wondering just what it is we're all about. Our reason for being is the same as yours: to discover and realize that which we're truly meant to become, and, in doing so, to encourage and inspire others to do the same.

Our vision is of a world where each of us is supported in realizing our highest selves, discovering our own individual gifts and strengths, and each contributing, in our own way, to a harmonious, diverse, creative, and collaborative future.

And so, we started this community with the intent of creating a space where people could come not just to remind each other to continue to follow our hearts, but to practice it. Our dream is for Gaia Community to be a sanctuary for individuals around the world who've committed to follow their deepest calling, and who will support each other in that commitment—offering encouragement and enthusiasm for each unique path.

We also believe in the power of a shared vision in creating the world in which we wish to live. It's our hope that by focusing on what inspires us, by offering new ideas and staying open to new possibilities, and, most of all, by keeping kindness in our hearts, we'll contribute to not just the harmony of Gaia, but to the emergence of a wholly new world.

Siona, at first I wondered how I belonged to a group I didn't remember joining—and then realize that Gaia Community is now called Gaia Community Vision. Clear name, clear vision.

Thank you for outlining it for us.

I have to say, though, that rather than a sanctuary, Gaia for me is an oasis, surrounded by a desert in which other oases exist. And perhaps that seed that sprouts in a world of other sprouting seeds; whether or not we call it zaadz.

Would you agree? A sanctuary implies inwardness and hiding from a horrible world; a shutting oneself off; which is not my experience in life, or of what Gaia is all about…

Meenakshi: I think our senses are the same! My understanding of a sanctuary is not a 'shutting off,' but rather a sacred space or an area of refuge or asylum. It's not someplace to come hide forever, but a place to come find renewal and to be 'fed' so that it's possible to be a stronger beacon or presence in the world as a whole. And this sounds quite akin to how you're describing those oases. :)

I really do appreciate your willingness to articulate the vision and to help clarify it for all the community and its members. It really helps. Your effort is timely as you might have seen me [probably not hahaha] whining a little about whether there is really unity of purpose among us. As an Ambassador, this information is valuable; it keeps us focussed as assumed leaders here.

I find that I come to this place for energy, both giving and receiving of it. I think that recognising ourselves as spirits first raises the point that energy movement decides everything. So I consciously attempt to throw some positive energy in the mix, and I am absolutely invigorated and better able to approach my world after receiving similar loving energy from my visits. I do adore this connection [she says abashedly!].

I'd recommend, if possible, having this thread coming up on the home page from time to time, either as a hottest group discussion or up there with the two rotating questions about 'why GAIA' and 'How we will change the world'. to sensitise random visitors about the goal here, and set the tone for their future entries. It will also help our present members to remember, in case they didn't.

I am relatively new to Gaia, but my appreciation and enthusiasm for what is going on here is without bound.  I have certain passionately held beliefs about goodness, and what that means and how we are all interconnected and of what greatness we are capable, but I have had only _one_ person in my life with whom I can talk about this, at length, in depth??  Not any longer!  I LOVE this community.  I no longer feel alone. 


Is Gaia an oasis?  Yes!!  I come here throughout my day, from the dry complex often-chaotic sometimes-overwhelming world, to this watering place of grace and inspiration.  Is Gaia my sanctuary??  OMG, yes!  A sanctuary in which I can shelter, a luminous sanctuary that inspires me upward, seems to slightly alter my bone structure and cellular formation for the better, each time that I visit.  Is Gaia my playground?  Sweet goodness, yes.  I feel as happy as a puppy in a pile of puppies.


Bless all of you who were here before me, who created this magnificent oasis/sanctuary/playground of endless possibilities, who are the answer to a prayer.
