In the heart of ourselves is our character. Whether we know it or not, we are carrying a complexity of form in each lifetime, manifested from ourselves before…a thought unspoken but yet manifested in our being to birth…to relate to in this lifetime…to breathe through. When we kiss this part of ourselves hello, instead of characteristically fighting it, we breathe. Hello, we are saying to ourselves in physical form, I can breathe through this, I can live through this, I can make this what I need to make this. I can work this. I can love it or leave it, but I will work it anyway, eventually. That is why we don’t need to be critical of anyone, because we will get there eventually. Life is that way…continuous…like the breath. When we learn to breathe like someone else, say in learning to sing a song in just that person’s exact way, we are taking that character on in our character. Sounds complex. but really, it’s just an experiment in learning…where is the power in this breath?…the weakness?…the tenderness?…the tiredness? and so on. We can learn more that way sometimes, than just doing our own thing. The question is, can I take this on in my own character, hold it and see what it knows? It is kind of a martial arts of the breath. |
