“Jessica's been working on a plan to revitalize the Ambassadors program; this month we'll be launching a new Group for Gaia Ambassadors, with a new invitation to join and a snazzy new packet of guidelines and ideas for those of you who're passionate about the general energy and mission of connection and positivity and contribution and heart behind this space, and who want to do more to enhance it here and in the world 'outside.' Hopefully it'll be a fun cause to rally around, and we're excited about doing more to empower those of you who love the idea of this community and what it means. But more on this next week!”

Hi Meenakshi,
I've posted about this in other areas of the pod and on the site. We're going to open a new pod and ask all the Ambassadors to rejoin. We plan for this pod to still be accessible as well as the posts here.
If you are an active Ambassador, then no worries, of course you'll be part of the new pod once you rejoin. But, we have quite a few Ambassadors who are no longer active on the site and we just want to make sure that everyone who is here, wants to be. We're planning to bring new energy to the program that will include more communication, project suggestions, etc, as many of you have asked for.
Everyone in this pod will get an announcement about the new changes in the near future. Please feel free to contact me with questions at anytime!

Thanks Jessica; I was hoping also to get our silent ones talking a bit, get some things buzzing among more of us, so that we can be present and accounted for!
Is it okay if we ask our questions, if any, or give suggestions on this pod? This way the info you give will be accessible to us all.
One suggestion I have, is that more than one team member is mod of the new group; so that there isn't too much for one person! BUT, perhaps we just need to wait in silence and patience and see what comes.
It's interesting; that's for sure.

Hey Nicole & Meenakshi!
Thanks for chiming in here :) And, you are welcome to make suggestions!
I'd love to hear from more people in this pod, but it won't make or break their acceptance into the new one. They will be invited to recommit and rejoin like everyone else here and their response will determine if they remain Ambassadors. It's up to them :)
And, in terms of moderation for the pod, the whole Team will have access, but I will be the point person. We are focusing our efforts right now and it actually makes it easier this way, it makes it so it isn't too much for one person, if that makes sense.
Of course, the rest of the Team will pop in, but I will be primarily responsible for moderating the Ambassador Group. As I see it, you all do a great job of moderating here, contributing to each other and sharing ideas.

Question for Jessica..
I’ve been noticing for a while now, that the “What do you like about our community?” question on the community page is always outakes from the ambassadors of 2006. Will this be updated after the new members are posted in? It looks to me like a lot of those people are not even members here anymore. Food for thought. PE

I'm glad to see the developments. I will continue to bring whatever I can to the role of Ambassador. I especially love the project suggestions idea. It seems like the community has been moving past the 'reflections' phase to the 'digging in and doing' phase, and how better to fulfil some worthwhile activities than among peers and friends in a loving community? I'm keen on this.

Hoping I haven't missed this notice. I have to admit that I'm pretty much ignoring pod invitaitons at the moment, so someone who knows me, make sure I know when this goes out.
I'm so covered up with pods, that I don't feel I do the ones I'm in justice. I've commited most of my available time to doing due diligence with my own and any time I can squeeze out beyond that to honoring my commitment to Meenakshi. I know it doesn't show too much yet but my goal is to check in there once a day …
Still, I think having gone through the transition from Zaadz to Gaia and being vocal and really caring about the direction it was headed in plus my personal commitment to reach out to newbies, that ought to qualify as some kind of Ambassador duties… maybe I'll have more time for this obsession of mine … , hum, what is that about the NOW?

Hey All,
Invites have not gone out yet! We're just waiting a bit for the dev team to work out a few things. And, when we do send the invites out, it will also be posted in this pod as well.
And, no worries, if being an Ambassador is important to you and you're committed to it, you will surely be invited.
