Yoga and Therapy: Intention and Depth
Some people think that Eastern practices like Yoga and Meditation are somehow at odds with Western pratices like Psychotherapy, but many growing-edge practitioners and students have been recognizing the complemantary nature of these related disciplines.
Discuss the connection between yoga and psychological process, either through your own experience of emotional healing/psychological awareness in yoga or how yoga has been part of a psychotherapeutic process for you or your students/clients. |

Bodywork and Therapy: Mind-Body Process
Most psychotherapists do not touch theor clients. Most bodyworkers do not talk with their clients. Some growing-ege practitioners have been exploring the relationship between dialog and touch, mind and body, deep emotional release and cogntive awareness, physical pain-syndromes and psychological issues.
Discuss your own experience of these relationships as either client or practitioner, or share any of the theories relating these disciplines that inform your perspective. |

Healing Breathwork: Mind-Body Energetic Altered States
This is a board to discuss experiences of Holotropic Breathing, Rebirthing, Shamanic Breathwork, etc...
Breathwork usually incorporates deep sustained breath for long periods of time while reclining with eyes closed. Usually fairly loud music programmed specifically for the arc of a breathwork "journey" is used. Breathwork can be a potent initiation into energetic experience and altered states of consciousness in which deep emotional healing and spiritual openings are possible. Please share experiences as a facilitator or participant in group or on-on-one settings. Also please include any overlap/relationship with bodywork, yoga or psychotherapy. |
